About the event
As global greenhouse gas pollution continues to rise, the international impacts are far-reaching: more storms, fires, droughts, heat waves, and floods, more economic losses, more climate migrants, and more health problems. These impacts are particularly difficult for developing nations to handle; of course, they did not cause global warming, but they’re suffering disproportionately. In this panel, we will attempt to highlight some of the success stories in the worldwide battle against climate change. We’ll be including examples of climate migration, mitigation, and resilience - all necessary. These role models can help point the way forward for a sustainable planet for everyone. Professors Palmer and Schneider both have international experience. Q&A will be encouraged.
